“Remember your manners. Please and thank
you are still golden words to use no matter what your age.”
~Jeanne Kraft
I’ve already said that book marketing is more about relationships
than it is about you and your book, with that in mind, I can’t tell you how
important manners are when it comes to marketing. You want a reader to buy your
book? Your marketing should reflect what they are going to get – it’s also a
reflection of you as an author. I know that there are a few niches where
manners might not be required, but for the most part, if you want your
marketing efforts to pay off, please make sure to mind your manners – thank
you.
Marketing prompt:
Draft an e-mail or article for your marketing campaign.
Whether you’re enlisting the help of others, or just letting your following
know what’s coming, one of the best ways to stay accountable is to bring others
in on what you’re doing – if you’re enlisting help, remember to use your
manners.
