Focus

“There’s an itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny-yellow-polka-dotted line between sharing interesting facts about life on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc… and becoming a self-absorbed egomaniac. The line is blurry at times. Invisible at others. And there are no real rules to this game.”
~Julie Cantrell

Remember that social media and even book marketing in general isn’t all about you and your book – it’s about the readers. If you build relationships with people, they will be more interested on spending money on what you’ve written. Some of my favorite authors are those I built relationships with first, and then picked up one of their books, just because they wrote it – now I’m the first in line when their new books come out. Building relationships builds sales.

Marketing prompt:

Continue what we started yesterday, and work on building relationships with readers that aren’t based around you and your book.

Days to go: 354

The main reason I write is to help other authors. I would love your feedback or suggestions for future posts or devotions. You can leave a public comment here, or use my contact form to send me a private message.
