Day 128
“Never let your persistence and passion turn
into stubbornness and ignorance.”
~ Anthony J.
D'Angelo
Ouch, Anthony, ouch. Persistence and passion are good –
stubbornness and ignorance… not so much. Being persistent about your marketing
is a must, being stubborn and refusing to try anything new, or give up
something that isn't working, that’s not so good. Being passionate about
marketing your book is awesome! Using passion as an excuse for ignorance – not
so awesome.
What I’m trying to say is, you should be working hard on
marketing your book, but work smart. Pay attention to what you’re doing, track
your results and adjust accordingly. Don’t spend hours and hours marketing your
book if you don’t know what it is you’re doing; instead, put some time in to
learn about marketing so that you’ll be able to succeed.
Marketing prompt:
Spend today evaluating your marketing efforts. Is what
you’re doing working or do you need to change things up a little bit?
